Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele turned down a loan move to Manchester United as he has set his sights on a switch to Juventus, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The first noises about Juve’s interest came back in May, with a suggestion that there could be a swap deal involving Douglas Costa. Although nothing materialised, the Serie A champions made their interest known to Barca once again a few weeks later.
At the time, Dembele was open to a switch to Italy as he felt that it would be a great opportunity to regain his best form, but negotiations stalled, leaving United as the only team in the race for the Frenchman.
Barca were said to be very keen on the player making the move to Old Trafford, but the go-ahead from the player never came. Instead, it is believed that the 23-year-old is now holding talks about a possible transfer to Juventus next year.
