Manchester United ended the season in dismal fashion with a 2-0 home defeat to relegated Cardiff yesterday.
Boos rang out around Old Trafford following the final whistle with few staying for the team’s lap of appreciation.
It’s been a difficult couple of months for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Since the 3-1 win over PSG, his side have managed just two wins, two draws and eight defeats in all competitions with many fans on Twitter very concerned about the prospects for next season:

And 32 points off the top.

Down tools when they thought the job was done by getting Ole hired.
Pathetic mentality in this team.

Some supporters seem to believe that CEO Ed Woodward may have jumped the gun in giving Solskjaer the position on a permanent basis.
There have certainly been some alarming signs in recent weeks, although it must be said his 14 wins in his first 19 matches made it look like the Norwegian was the right choice at the time.
Things can change quickly in football, though, and it will be interesting to see how the squad is transformed over the summer.
