Real Madrid are “ready” to pay €110m (£96.7m) for Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, according to TMW.
The Italian website claims that the European champions do expect “substantial competition” from Manchester United and Arsenal for the Argentinian international’s signature.
Mac Allister signed a £50,000 a week contract extension back in October and it is believed that Brighton won’t let him leave the Amex without a fight this summer.
TMW report that the Seagulls may demand as much as €150m (£132m) for the 24-year-old, citing the example of international teammate Enzo Fernandez, who cost Chelsea €121m.
However, it’s likely that they will lower their asking price slightly. Whether that will allow United to enter the bidding, it remains to be seen
Manager Erik ten Hag is thought to be keen on strengthening his options in midfield but the priority for the summer transfer window is expected to be a new number nine.
