Raiola Speaks Out On Whether Pogba Could Leave United In January

Agent Mino Raiola has confirmed that Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is not going to move clubs in the January transfer window.

There have been numerous claims that the 26-year-old is looking to leave Old Trafford, with Real Madrid and Juventus possible destinations, but Raiola has said his client has no plans to depart:

“Paul has always respected Manchester United just as Manchester United has also always respected Paul. And the only one that talks for Manchester United and for Paul is Ole, because he comments in the paper and in the press.”

“I go by what he [Solskjaer] says. He [Pogba] will not move, and that’s okay. We are good with them.”

Pogba’s extended injury absence has prompted a lot of talk about the midfielder. He was not selected for United’s 2-0 win versus Burnley at the weekend with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer stating afterwards that the France international is simply not ready to return from an ankle injury.

He played for 45 minutes against Newcastle on Boxing Day but it appears he is still suffering from minor discomfort, which kept him out of the trip to Turf Moor.

Pogba was absent once again from training yesterday, with doubts remaining over whether he’ll feature against Arsenal on New Year’s Day.
