Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was asked about the club’s transfer plans after yesterday’s 2-0 win against Leicester City.
The victory secured Champions League qualification and Solskjaer says that to go one step further and challenge for the title, they need new additions. The Norwegian said he has told the board what he wants:
“The club know what I feel we need and we’re going to try to pursue it and let’s see where we end up.”
Supporters on Twitter have interpreted that to mean he is looking for the club to sign Jadon Sancho and Jack Grealish:
Putting the onus clearly on board. If we don't get those deals done , you know who to blame

That statement puts pressure on the board. Let’s hope they can deliver.

Get Grealish and Sancho!!!

Getting into the Champions League will certainly boost the Red Devils’ chances of signing Sancho, but there are more question marks over Grealish.
The 24-year-old helped guide Aston Villa to Premier League safety with a crucial goal in the 1-1 draw against West Ham, and there could now be a chance that he’ll opt to stay at Villa Park with his team remaining in the top flight.
Solskjaer’s remarks clearly show, though, that the United manager is intent on building on the club’s third-place finish this campaign.
