PSG Lining Up Surprise Summer Bid For Manchester United Flop

Paris Saint-Germain would be prepared to take Alexis Sanchez off Manchester United’s hands next summer, according to the Sun.

The Chilean international reportedly earns £505,000 a week at Old Trafford but has failed to justify his sizeable salary since arriving back in January.

During his ten months with United,  Sanchez has scored just four times in 26 appearances, with his only goal so far this campaign coming in the 3-2 win over Newcastle earlier this month.

Manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that the 29-year-old has been suffering with injury problems this season, which partly explains his poor form.

However, the Sun believe Sanchez’s failure to live up to expectations has led to some in the United hierarchy weighing up the possibility of allowing him to leave.

PSG are said to be keen but they are reportedly unwilling to offer a sizeable transfer fee despite the former Arsenal star having three and a half years left on his contract with United.

Whether the Manchester club will look to cut their losses at the end of the season will very much depend on whether can he improve his form in the coming weeks and months.
