Manchester United left-back Alex Telles made a solid yet unspectacular league debut against West Brom in the 1-0 win yesterday evening.
The Brazilian international was not particularly effective in the final third of the pitch, and a few passes did go astray but, for the most part, he acquitted himself well as the Red Devils kept a clean sheet.
Supporters on Twitter were pretty happy with what they saw from Telles and they are hoping that there will be more to come from the fullback in future games:

The only person who stopped Telles shining yesterday was Rashford, everytime Telles bypassed him for a run in space, he opted to play the ball backward or sideways, or atleast thats what i saw the whole first half

Solid, not expecting prime Irwin or Evra but well done. Wont do Shaw any harm having someone push him. ?

There’s no doubt that Telles will need some time to bed in, especially after arriving very late in the transfer window and being sidelined with the virus. It is certainly not ideal when moving to a new club.
Even so, the 27-year-old looks good enough to provide some strong competition for Luke Shaw, and he will likely get a run in the side with his rival sidelined with a hamstring injury over the next few weeks.
