Sadly, the summer transfer window did not go the way Manchester United fans hoped it may. It wasn’t all bad – Andre Onana looks to be an excellent signing, as does Sofyan Amrabat, but this is where the positives end.
Rasmus Hojlund was picked up for an enormous fee of £72 million – if he wishes to justify this figure, he is going to have to start scoring goals – and fast.
Meanwhile, the £60 million acquisition of Mason Mount has left everyone scratching their heads. He has been poor since he arrived at the club, as Erik Ten Hag struggles to fit him into the team.
