Powerful Box To Box Arsenal Target Set For Old Trafford Switch

N’Golo Kante has been one of the best performers in the Premier league this season. The box to box French star has covered by far the most ground in the Premier league this season. His wonderful performances have helped put Leicester City on the verge of their first ever Premier League title. This is the same Leicester City that was rooted to the bottom of the Premier League at this time last year.

Such has been the performance of N’Golo Kante that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is said to be keen on signing him this summer despite having the likes of Cazorla, Ramsey, Wilshere, Chamberlain, Coquelin, Arteta and the newly signed Elneny at Arsenal who play in the same role as the Frenchman.

As The Sun reports, Manchester United are also keen on signing Kante as the replacement for the soon to depart Michael Carrick and will hope they can convince the player to reject whatever offer Arsenal makes for him for a switch to Old Trafford.

Only recently former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed he is a big fan of the workaholic midfielder and with Carrick likely to leave the Red Devils this summer and Bastian Schweinsteiger looking like he will not overcome his injury woes soon, United would do well to beat Arsenal to the signing of Kante.

The player has already hinted he could leave the foxes this summer should the right offer arrive for him which should work in the favour of whoever is most interested in signing him this summer.

However, although Manchester United can afford to offer Kante more money than Arsenal probably will, the lack of Champions league football could work against the Red devils. With Leicester City going to the Champions league next season and United possibly not going, the player may want to stay with the foxes and enjoy Champions league football for the first time in his career or move to a club where he will have a chance of playing in the Champions league.
