Pogba Rumours Reach New Levels As Italian Media Speculate On United Star’s Wage Demands

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba would demand €16m (£13.6m) a year in wages if he were to leave the Premier League this summer, according to Tuttosport.

The Italian newspaper reports that Juventus and Real Madrid are the favourites to land the 26-year-old if he does depart United.

Speculation has increased about Pogba after he revealed that Real Madrid would be a “dream club for every player.” In the same interview, though, he stated that he was happy to stay in Manchester.

The Italian media have been tipping the France international to return to Serie A ever since he left Juve in a €105m deal three seasons ago. The likelihood of the Bianconeri actually being able to afford the Frenchman is very low.

Considering his excellent form for United, it is also highly unlikely that the Red Devils would consider letting the player go unless the player was adamant about leaving Old Trafford.

There has been talk in the Spanish press that Pogba is keen on a move to Real but the La Liga giants have other priorities, including Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Chelsea’s Eden Hazard.
