Pogba hints he is ‘unhappy’ at Manchester United and says he would be ‘fined’ for saying his true feelings

Paul Pogba says he ‘needs to be happy’ to perform at his best for Manchester United, adding that he would be fined if he spoke of how he really felt.

The Frenchman stayed at Old Trafford this summer despite rumours linking him with both Barcelona and his former club Juventus.

The 25-year-old midfielder has endured a tough two seasons at United and an especially difficult relationship with manager Jose Mourinho, with the Portuguese boss recently claiming he does not perform as well for United as he does his national team.

Pogba starred this summer to help France lift the World Cup in Russia, and the midfielder has now seemingly agreed with Mourinho over the discrepancies in form for club and country, hinting that the reason is that he is not happy at Manchester United.

“If you’re not happy, you cannot give your best,” Pogba said.

“There are things I cannot say otherwise I will get fined.”

He continued: “”I still enjoying playing football but like I said, when you are comfortable or confident and are good in the head, it’s going to be easier.”
