Pogba Criticises United’s Performance And Tactics After Wolves Draw

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has criticised the team’s lack of attacking intent against Wolves at the weekend.

The Red Devils drew 1-1 with the newly promoted side at Old Trafford on Saturday, and the French midfielder feels the club should be more positive playing in front of their own fans:

“We’re at home, and we should play much better against Wolves. When we’re at home we should attack, attack, attack. That’s Old Trafford. We’re here to attack. I think teams are scared when they see Manchester United attacking and attacking.”

“That was our mistake. We should just attack and press, like we did against Tottenham, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal last season. When we play like this, it’s easier for us.”

Pogba provided the assist for Fred to score the opening goal of the game. However, Joao Moutinho equalised for the visitors early in the second half and United’s opponents forced a number of good saves from goalkeeper David de Gea.

In fact, Wolves actually had more shots on target than the home side with the Manchester club now eight points behind league leaders Liverpool after just six games played.

United face Derby County next up in the Carabao Cup tomorrow night. They then make the trip to the London Stadium on Saturday where they’ll come up against West Ham in the lunchtime kickoff.
