Ex-Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is “keen” on Manchester United being his next job, according to the Daily Star‘s Chief Football Writer Jeremy Cross:

Man Utd sound out Mauricio Pochettino with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s troubled reign in jeopardy | @CrossyDailyStar https://t.co/vFC6KgAxq9

The journalist claims United have already made an attempt to “sound out” the Argentine about whether he’d be interested in succeeding Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the hot seat at Old Trafford if the Norwegian was sacked.
At the moment, Chief Executive Ed Woodward is not looking to get rid of Solskjaer, and any decision won’t be made during the current international break, but if results don’t improve before Christmas, the Red Devils are putting plans in place to make a change.
Sunday’s humiliating 6-1 home defeat to Pochettino’s former team Spurs has left United 16th in the table but Woodward is reluctant to pull the trigger too soon with only three league games having been played.
The Daily Star suggests the next international break in November may well be the best time to replace Solskjaer with Pochettino, who has turned down a number of jobs since being sacked by Tottenham just under a year ago.
