‘Please, We Can’t Be This Desperate’ ‘We’re All Over The Place Again’ Fans Despair As United Are Offered Ex Chelsea Flop

Manchester United have been offered the chance to sign Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, according to reports in the English media.

Intermediaries are believed to have encouraged the Red Devils into making a move for the former Chelsea player, but the club are not tempted to make an approach to sign him at this stage.

Supporters on Twitter are very much hoping that Morata doesn’t become a target for the club before the transfer window closes:

Morata’s first spell in England was disappointing and his performances since moving back to the continent have not improved greatly.

The 29-year-old has just returned to Atletico after a loan spell at Juventus. He scored 12 goals in 48 appearances for the Bianconeri last campaign, but the Serie A club have been dragging their heels over signing him on a permanent basis.

United are very keen on bringing in a striker but Morata isn’t a target at the moment. After pulling out of the race to sign Marko Arnautovic, the club have switched their attention to PSV’s Cody Gakpo and Stuttgart’s Sasa Kalajdzic.
