Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani was absent from the matchday squad as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side drew 0-0 against Chelsea yesterday evening.
The Uruguayan international has missed the last four games with a muscular problem, having last featured in the 1-1 draw against West Brom last month, but the forward did take to Instagram last night to promise he will be back soon:
United certainly missed Cavani’s attacking instincts in front of goal at Stamford Bridge and fans on Twitter are hoping that it won’t be long before the 34-year-old returns to fitness:
Please hurry up

It’s clear that United lack a focal point in attack when Cavani doesn’t play. Solskjaer opted to play two split strikers in Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood versus Chelsea and, as a consequence, neither took up threatening positions in the box.
With Cavani hinting that he should be back soon, it will be hoped that he’ll be available when the Red Devils face Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.
