‘Please Be True’ ‘Get It Done Ed’ ‘I Can Get Behind This!’ Fans Excited As United Prioritise Move For Spanish Midfield Maestro

Manchester United are weighing up a move for Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez in January as the Red Devils look to bulk up their midfield options, according to reports.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to be keen on recruiting two midfielders, with the Spanish international’s name at the top of their list of priorities. Supporters on Twitter would love to see the 25-year-old move to Old Trafford:

Niguez does have a sizeable release of €150m (£126m) and the Red Devils will likely be hoping that they can do a deal for a much lower price than that.

There are reports in Spain, though, that do indicate that United may well be in with a chance of signing the midfielder. Atletico are very keen to finance a deal for a new striker in January.

The La Liga club’s preference would be to offload Thomas Lemar, but if they can’t find a buyer for the Frenchman, they may consider selling Niguez instead.
