Thomas McNulty
McNulty started his career in 1949 with Manchester United after he grew up in Salford. He helped the Red Devils to win the league in the 1951/52 season.
He played for Liverpool after moving from United in 1954 and played out his career with the Reds until 1958. Playing as a defender, McNulty made just 93 appearances in his career.
The Englishman moved between the two teams for a fee of just £7,000, the equivalent of £240,000 today, he unfortunately died in 1979.
