Perisic remains focused ‘solely on Inter’ as Croatia star dismisses Manchester United rumours

Croatia star Ivan Perisic has insisted he remains focused ‘solely on Inter Milan’ after the World Cup following rumours he would join Manchester United this summer.

Perisic enjoyed a fine World Cup with Croatia, scoring three goals to help his country to their first ever World Cup final.

The Inter star was on the scoresheet in Moscow yesterday afternoon, however was unable to prevent Croatia from a 4-2 defeat at the hands of France.

And following his impressive campaign in Russia, reports suggested Manchester United were to go in for him this summer having missed out his signature last season.

Jose Mourinho has reportedly eyed Perisic as one of his main targets before the new season as he looks to mount a challenge for the Premier League title next term.

However Perisic, who is rated at around £50 million by Inter, says he remains focused on his career in Italy after the World Cup.

“So far I have thought of Croatia. Now I will rest, I will return to focus on Inter,” he said following Croatia’s heart-breaking defeat to France yesterday afternoon.

Perisic snubbed United last summer, instead choosing to sign a new five-year deal at Inter Milan.
