Pedro Agrees Manchester United Deal

Manchester United target Pedro has reportedly agreed personal terms with Manchester United. Neither Barcelona or United have agreed a fee, but it is believed that a deal will be struck at around £22m.

Sky Sports’ Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has broken the news and says that the 28-year-old Spain international has chosen Manchester United over their bitter rivals City.

“Ed Woodward, the Manchester United chief executive, has been in Barcelona today, speaking to the club and the word is that a deal will be done this week one way or another.” said Balague.

“I understand a deal between the player and United is already in place and all that is left is for United to put the €30m on the table. They are just negotiating how they are going to pay it, with installments or an amount up-front.”

“They are very close. I’m not sure whether Barcelona will try one last time with Pedro and say ‘don’t go’, but it seems his mind is already made up.”

Pedro featured in Barcelona’s three most recent games in the UEFA Super Cup and the two-legged Spanish Super Cup, which they lost to Athletic Bilbao.

Pedro is a product of the world famous Barcelona academy and has made almost 50 appearances for Spain. Although the Spaniards time at Barcelona may be up, there is still no reason to doubt his ability. Even with his lack of appearances for the Catalan side in recent times, he still managed 11 goals last season.
