Paul Pogba set for shock Spain move

Paul Pogba will leave Manchester United this summer for either Barcelona or Real Madrid, according to reports from Spain.

The Frenchman joined United in the summer of 2016 as a world record £89 million signing from Juventus, however has since struggled to establish himself at Old Trafford.

Pogba has also endured a difficult relationship with manager Jose Mourinho, being involved in several high profile spats with the Portuguese boss – and according to Don Balon, Pogba now wants to leave the club this summer.

The Spanish news outlet report that Pogba has been offered out by agent Mino Raiola to Barcelona, Real Madrid and Chelsea.

They add that the France international would prefer a switch to Spain rather than remain in the Premier League.

Pogba has been vocal with his unhappiness at Old Trafford in recent months, hinting that while he remains contracted to Manchester United, he would be open to leaving the club, and Mourinho, if the circumstances came about.

“He [Mourinho] put me on the bench, I answered on the pitch, I give my maximum every time,” Pogba said when asked about his relationship with the former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss.

“There are times when I wasn’t playing. I was on the bench. Much has been spoken about. People thought it was wrong but a coach and player don’t have to be best friends.

“One is not forced to go to the restaurant together. I had some problems, it’s [a] mental [problem]. It made me grow in leadership. I had the armband with Mourinho, it was the first time in a club.

“It’s important to me, it makes me grow up to be as a leader in the France team.

“Stay at United? You’re never sure of anything. Contractually, it’s on, yes.”
