Paul Pogba addresses Mourinho fall out

Manchester United star Paul Pogba has admitted he did endure some difficult times under Jose Mourinho last season, but says the ‘small issues’ with his manager were ‘nothing in the end’.

Pogba fell out of favour in midfield midway through the campaign last season, with Jose Mourinho dropping the France international for several big games.

The 25-year-old reportedly held talks with Mourinho in February, with the pair discussing the player’s best position and form following a string of poor performances.

However, after much speculation, Pogba has addressed rumours about his relationship with his Old Trafford manager, admitting that there have been problems.

“It was a better season than the previous one,” said Pogba about the 17/18 season.

“It was an experience. There were some small issues [with Mourinho], but they were nothing in the end.

“Being a substitute, that sort of thing, it helps you to grow. I have to accept it.”

It is believed that Pogba is one of many stars who could be on their way out of Old Trafford this summer.

Fellow Frenchman Anthony Martial has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham or Juventus, while Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian look certain to exit after being deemed surplus to requirements.
