Manchester United have been offered Barcelona centre-back Samuel Umtiti, according to Sport. The Catalan based publication claim the Red Devils “would be willing to make a significant effort” to sign the player.
The 26-year-old, who won the World Cup with France in 2018, has been playing regularly for Barca this campaign following a series of knee problems in recent years but the La Liga side are keen to sell him in order to finance other summer deals.
United supporters on Twitter are, however, not keen on the club bringing in Umtiti:
Only if he's coming for free

On the face of it, United’s defence looks to be in decent shape. They have kept nine clean sheets in their last 11 games, but there are doubts over the futures of both Phil Jones and Chris Smalling.
In addition, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has utilised left-back Luke Shaw as a left-sided centre-half when playing three at the back this season, so a move for another left-footed defender cannot be ruled out.
