‘On The Lookout’ United Named As One Of 3 English Clubs Who Are Weighing Up Move for 220 Goal Forward

Manchester United have joined Manchester City and Chelsea in pursuing Barcelona’s Antoine Griezmann, according to Sport.

The Red Devils are said to be “on the lookout” for the Frenchman, who has scored 220 goals in his club career. It is believed that the striker could be offloaded by Barca this summer as the Catalan club look to reduce their wage bill.

In addition to the three Premier League clubs, Griezmann is also reportedly interesting Juventus, as well his former team Atletico Madrid, who are said to be the player’s “priority” destination.

It would be a major surprise if United do decide to make a move for the France international. They are close to snapping up Jadon Sancho, who will greatly improve their forward line, while they already have an experienced striker in Edinson Cavani.

At 30 years of age, Griezmann is hardly a young player anymore either, and it wouldn’t really make sense in terms of the Manchester club’s recent transfer policy, which has seen the Red Devils target younger players.
