‘Now That Is Good News’ ‘Kante Ain’t Ready’ Fans Delighted As United Are Handed Big Injury Boost Ahead Of Chelsea Clash

Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has returned to training during the club’s mid-season training camp in Dubai.

The 23-year-old has been out since Boxing Day after injuring his knee in the opening minutes of the 4-1 win over Newcastle at Old Trafford.

Fans on Twitter are hoping that McTominay will be available when the Red Devils face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge after the winter break:

With McTominay having been out for the best part of six weeks, it would be a big surprise if he was involved from the start against Chelsea next Monday.

Nemanja Matic will return from suspension for the game, and he will likely come back into the starting line up alongside Fred and Bruno Fernandes for the game, allowing the £68m signing to play in a more familiar advanced role

Even so, McTominay swift return to fitness will be a massive positive for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as United head into some important fixtures over the coming weeks.
