‘Not good enough’ – fans react to links with PSG outcast

Manchester United fans have not taken kindly to reports linking them with a move for PSG outcast Lucas Moura.

The Brazilian has been heavily rumoured to be on his way to Old Trafford before the end of the month, with manager Jose Mourinho eyeing the former Sao Paulo star as a replacement for the potentially outbound Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

The Metro reports that Lucas has already agreed to join the Red Devils ahead of a potential £35 million move to the Premier League, while other reports suggest United would prefer to take him on-loan – with an option to buy at the end of the season.


PSG are keen to part ways permanently with Lucas however after the Brazilian has grown surplus to requirements at the Stade de France. The 25-year-old has failed to start a game in all competitions this season for the Parisians, and has just over 70 minutes of Ligue 1 football to his name, with world record signing Neymar and youngster Kylian Mbappe preferred in the wide areas by manager Unai Emery.

Lucas joined PSG in the summer of 2012 having ironically rejected a move to Manchester United in favour of a switch to France, and has since made 228 appearances in all competitions, scoring 45 goals and helping the club to four consecutive Ligue 1 titles.

Despite his impressive credentials however, United fans aren’t best pleased with the rumours linking them with a move for the talented Brazilian star …
