Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani could be used in a swap deal for Sevilla’s Jules Kounde, according to reports.
The Spanish club are looking for a short-term replacement for the injured Youssef En-Nesyri and they have identified Cavani as one of the potential candidates, along with Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette and Real Madrid’s Mariano Diaz.
Kounde has been a long-term target for Chelsea but he was linked with United earlier this week so some journalists have suggested that an exchange could be an option. Supporters on Twitter are very sceptical about the rumours:

Edison Cavani shouldn’t be used as a bargaining chip for anyone.

While United could do with another centre-half, especially if they persist with three at the back, it seems unlikely that the Manchester club would allow Cavani to leave.
The Uruguayan’s experience and work ethic are an example for the younger members of the squad, and it would seriously reduce the team’s options up front if he were to be let go in the January transfer window.
