Gent forward Gift Orban has admitted that his “ultimate dream” is to play in the Premier League for the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool or Manchester City.

The Nigerian has been scouted by the Red Devils and, while he says there are plenty of teams in England he would sign for, he’s not particularly keen on Arsenal:

“The Premier League is my ultimate dream: Manchester United, Liverpool or Manchester City. I don’t really like Arsenal that much – it’s like they don’t want to win titles. They play and sell players – that’s it. I want to go somewhere where they win prizes. At Real Madrid they don’t have time for tiki-taka, there they just grab titles.”

Orban’s rise has been rapid. This time last year he had only just joined Norwegian club Stabaek on loan from Bison FC in his native Nigeria. After moving to Norway on a permanent basis last summer, he then made the switch to Belgium in January.

The 20-year-old has been extremely prolific for Gent since joining the Pro League club, racking up 20 goals in only 20 appearances. He is very much still a raw talent, relying on his speed to get himself chances, so if United do table an offer this summer, they may want to consider sending him out on loan so he can develop his game further.

Who else is interested in signing Orban?

In addition to United, there are believed to be at least two other Premier League clubs keeping tabs on the striker.

Chelsea and Tottenham have also been sending scouts to see Orban in action over the past few weeks due to his outstanding form.
