Napoli will refuse to sell Victor Osimhen during the January transfer window, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Manchester United have been linked with the Nigerian international, along with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea but speaking on the United Stand Youtube channel, Romano says the forward won’t be moving teams midseason:
"Victor Osimhen, I think he will never be available in January. He's such an important player, and they [Napoli] are doing great in Serie A. So I don't see them selling." [@FabrizioRomano, United Stand YT] #mufc

Supporters on Twitter are split on whether a move for Osimhen is realistic or even desirable, with some claiming that a deal could be put in place for next summer:
Next summer for 130M

If he will have good season, Napoli will want more than €150M…

Let’s get Gakpo in Jan and Osimhen in summer then

I'd rather have Felix or Vlahovic

We just need to come to an agreement with his agents, then make them do the work with napoli board, this can happen way before January, it should start now

United will have to go into the market for an out-and-out striker at some point. Cristiano Ronaldo is still thought to be looking for a way to leave Old Trafford and if he does get his wish, the need for a number nine will only increase further.
Osimhen’s exorbitant asking price could, though, prove to be a big stumbling block. Paying over £100m for a player who has a chequered injury record would not be the wisest decision.
