Neville Makes Bold Title Prediction As He Gives Key Reason Why United Could “Challenge” Next Season

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville says the Red Devils could be involved in the Premier League title race next season if they make the right moves in the transfer market.

The global situation means a number of clubs won’t be able to make signings, and Neville thinks United could be perfectly placed to take advantage:

“United have found it hard to keep prices and wages down but they will be in a really strong position to hold their nerve this summer.”

“It will be really important, they had found some form before this and the glass looked half full than half empty and being 30 points or whatever it is off Liverpool. I am starting to feel confident United could challenge next season.”

A lot, of course, depends on how wisely United spend their money. They have made decent purchases in the past two transfer windows with the likes of Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Bruno Fernandes all proving to be successes.

However, they will need to build on those signings and also hope that teams such as Liverpool and Manchester City don’t improve their own squads.

It is certainly not impossible for United to be back challenging at the top of the table next season, but a number of things will need to go in the Manchester club’s favour for it to happen.
