Neville Calls On Solskjaer To Dispense With United’s Dressing Room Troublemakers

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville is backing manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to get rid of any troublemakers in the club’s dressing room.

The TV pundit believes the culture at the club is different to when he was a player, and he thinks the United boss will ensure that the atmosphere in the squad is improved:

“In any business, in any football team, if the guardians in the dressing room, the ones who have the influence, are not setting the example, then you have a big problem and have to clear them out.”

“I love Ole to bits. Whoever he feels is not aligned to the principles of Manchester United, he has to get rid of them.”

Neville identified five players back in April who he believed failed to match the standards expected of them, following a chastening 4-0 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park.

Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford, David De Gea, Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial were all criticised by the United legend that day.

Pogba and Lukaku have already hinted that they are looking to leave Old Trafford this summer, while Rashford and De Gea are locked in contract talks with the club.

It remains to be seen whether these player’s futures will be resolved before the start of next season.
