Michael Owen Predicts The Scoreline As United Take On Watford

Ex-Manchester United striker Michael Owen is expecting his former club to secure a straightforward win when they face Watford this afternoon.

The Hornets head into the match off the back of two 1-0 defeats and Owen thinks that United should not have any problems dispatching their opponents, despite having their own difficulties:

“I thought Man United were disappointing against City in the derby. There was no desire, no drive in the team and it was all so easy for City. United were far too cagey and looked way behind their rivals. This is an ideal game for them though. Watford are in poor form and are struggling to score.”

Owen has gone with a 2-0 win for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, which seems like a fair prediction based on Watford’s form but, it must be said, that Arsenal did find it hard to put them to the sword last time out.

The Red Devils undoubtedly have greater firepower but the defeats to City and Liverpool recently have left their scars and we will find out if they are still playing for their manager at Vicarage Road.

Solskjaer knows a victory is vital in order to dampen speculation about his future at Old Trafford, and there is every chance his side will grab the three points today.
