Michael Owen Makes His Prediction As United Take On Fulham

Ex-Manchester United forward Michael Owen is expecting his former club to come away with a narrow victory when they face Fulham at Craven Cottage tomorrow night.

The Red Devils continued their excellent away form with a 0-0 draw against Liverpool last time out and, while Fulham have shown signs of life in recent weeks, Owen feels Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will have too much for them:

“Away day specialists Manchester United executed their game plan to perfection at Anfield on Sunday. They could’ve left with all 3 points but overall, they’ll be pleased with the outcome. They take on a Fulham side that narrowly lost out to Chelsea, however, despite that defeat they have made noticeable improvements over the last month or so. That said, United are undefeated in their last 16 away matches in the Premier League I cannot see them slipping up here.”

Owen has gone for a 2-1 win for United, which seems like a good prediction considering Fulham have improved massively since the opening weeks of the season. It won’t be an easy game as Chelsea showed when they struggled to break down the Cottagers, who only had ten men for the whole of the second half on Saturday.

Scott Parker’s side do, though, lack some bite up front so it’s unlikely they’ll be able to outscore United. Especially with the options that the away side will have at their disposal, you would be confident that they will pick up the three points.
