McTominay Tips Three United Starlets To Make First Team Breakthrough After Greenwood

Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay says there are a number of players in the team’s youth ranks who have the potential to follow Mason Greenwood into the first team.

The Scottish international claims that defender Di’Shon Bernard, midfielder James Garner and forward Largie Ramazani are the three names fans should look out for in the future:

“For the younger boys? There’s a lot You see Di’Shon, Largie, Jimmy, you see Mason, obviously, coming in and Mason’s on his way to being established.”

“He’s not quite at that level of being a regular first-teamer, and that’s what Mason has to strive to become. He’s one of the most talented players that I’ve seen for a long time – his left-foot, right-foot shooting is ridiculous.”

Garner has already impressed when given a chance by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season, but there have been reports in recent days that he will be loaned out so he can get more first-team opportunities.

Bernard made his debut in the Europa League against FC Astana back in November while Ramazani also made his first appearance in the same game, coming on for the last six minutes of the 2-1 defeat.

They will have to do a lot, however, in order to make a greater impact than Greenwood, who has scored 12 goals and provided four assists in 36 appearances for United this season.
