Martial tells Inter Milan he’ll join as part of Man United deal for Perisic

Manchester United are continuing to push-on in the transfer market as Jose Mourinho looks to assemble a side capable of winning the Premier League and competing in the Champions League this season, already spending a vast amount of money to aid their ambitions.

The Red Devils added Nemanja Matic to their ranks this week and the Serbian international joins fellow new recruits Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku at the club but there’s still room for Manchester United to add to their new trio.

Mourinho is intent on bolstering his forward line with the addition of a top-class winger and Inter Milan ace Ivan Perisic is his prime-target, with the Europa League champions having pushed for the addition of the Croatian ace over the course of the past few weeks.

Italian giants Inter have made it clear they’re prepared to do business for the right price and they reportedly want Anthony Martial on-loan as part of a deal, something that Manchester United themselves aren’t too keen on.

However, ahead of a World Cup year where Martial needs regular football if he is to make Didier Deschamps’ World Cup squad, reports indicate the young winger is open to a move to the San Siro- and has already gone as far as telling Inter he’s prepared to make a move to the club.

Martial endured a tough time under the tenure of Jose Mourinho last season, regularly finding himself overlooked until the back-end of the season where an injury to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, which effectively ended the Swedish striker’s stint with the Red Devils, lead to an increase of opportunities for Martial.

Still widely-regarded as a top talent for the future, Manchester United are understandably not prepared to lose the former Monaco ace for the long-term but a season-long loan deal with Inter Milan may work out best for all parties.

Martial would get the first-team football he craves as he’d come into Inter’s side as a direct replacement for Ivan Perisic, whilst Manchester United would see the development of one of their young superstars continue and Inter Milan would get a top-class player to help them in their push to make the Champions League.

Whether Manchester United are willing to consider this offer remains to be seen but it’s definitely something for the Red Devils to think about and it makes sense given the depth Manchester United boast in wide areas.
