ManchestHair United: The best and worst Red Devils hairstyles over the years

The footballing world has seen some of the most iconic hairstyles ever over the years. From Ruud Gullit’s dreadlocks and Maradona’s perm, to Radja Nainggolan’s Mohawk and Neymar’s Pot Noodle looking barnet.

Whether you love them or hate them, there’s no denying that the outrageous hairstyles we’ve seen over the years have always somehow managed to find the limelight.

In promotion of the Men Ultra range and as part of the Head & Shoulders #JUSTWATCHME campaign, football hairstylist Landry Agres is giving fans exclusive football hairstyle tutorials so they can replicate some of the beautiful game’s most iconic hairstyles this summer.

With this in mind, we’ve decided to take a look at some of the best and worst hairstyles to have donned the Manchester United shirt over the years.

Who else can we begin with other than Paul Pogba? The Frenchman has consistently made the headlines since joining United due to his hair, with it seemingly changing colour as many times as is physically possible. Pogba is also a big fan of his tramlines and patterns, famously showcasing a Batman symbol, Pokemon ball and the word #EQUAL on the side of his head alongside a variety of colours.

Next up has to be David Beckham, perhaps one of the most well known players in world football for his hair. Beckham’s had pretty much every hairstyle that is physically possible for him to have, from mohawk and cornrows, to clean shaven and prince charming esque locks.

Cristiano Ronaldo is also partial to a bit of a shape up, with his hair always managing to look absolutely perfect no matter how intense the game he’s playing in has become. When Ronaldo joined United, it’s safe to say his trim wasn’t anywhere near the standard of grooming we see today.

Finally, we can’t talk Manchester United and hair without mentioning the big man himself, Marouane Fellaini. The Belgian has had his outrageous afro for what seems like forever, occasionally being known to braid it into cornrows in the past.
