Manchester United Vs Leicester City Team News, Betting Odds And Where To Watch

Manchester United will attempt to avoid the off-the-pitch distractions on Wednesday night as they face a Carabao Cup match against Leicester City.

The Red Devils are currently in the process of appointing a new manager following their sacking of Erik Ten Hag on Monday morning.

Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim is expected to take over at Manchester United as his club now believes that he will become the new boss at Old Trafford.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy will take over as interim manager for Wednesday night’s game against Leicester in the Carabao Cup.

The Red Devils will want to get back to winning ways after a 2-1 defeat to West Ham United on Sunday where a late penalty from Jarrod Bowen handed Erik Ten Hag his final loss as United manager.

Manchester United will also have up to eight players missing Wednesday’s game as the likes of Noussair Mazraoui, Tyrell Malacia, Kobbie Mainoo and more are expected to miss the game at Old Trafford.

They face a Leicester City side who have won two of their previous three matches, but come off the back of a 3-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest at the King Power Stadium on Friday.

Manchester United backed to win despite managerial uncertainty

The Red Devils remain as the favourites to beat Leicester City on Wednesday despite the fact that Ruud Van Nistelrooy is at the helm for the first time at Old Trafford.

According to Oddschecker, Manchester United are backed to win at odds of 3/10 which gives them a 76.9% chance of beating the Foxes.

Meanwhile, Leicester are backed to win at 23/2 (8%) and a draw is backed at 11/2 (15.4%) which would take the game to penalties due to the Carabao Cup rules.

We predict a 2-1 victory for Ruud Van Nistelrooy at Old Trafford as United get through to the quarter-finals of the competition.
