Manchester United face a trip to Turkey to face former manager Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce side on Thursday night.
The Red Devils prepare for their third Europa League game after their two openers finished as draws against FC Twente and Porto.
They will be hoping to earn their first win in the campaign as they aim to win their first Europa League trophy since 2017.
Erik Ten Hag’s side come off a much-needed win against Brentford over the weekend where they went 1-0 down and came back to 2-1 thanks to goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund.
They face a Fenerbahce side on Thursday that are winless in two games but sit fourth in the Turkish Super Lig, eight points off league leaders Galatasaray.
United still have several injury concerns as Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia, Kobbie Mainoo, Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro are all expected to miss the game.
Furthermore, midfielder Casemiro is a doubt for Thursday night’s fixture due to a calf injury that he suffered against Brentford, he is currently being assessed. Click here to see our predicted XI for United as they make the trip to Turkey.
United cautiously backed to beat Fenerbahce
Manchester United’s form has been very up and down in recent weeks and the bookmakers’ odds reflect that as they aren’t backed heavily to beat Fenerbahce.
According to Oddschecker, the Red Devils are favourites but only at odds of 7/5 which gives them a 41.7% chance to get their first win of this Europa League campaign. Meanwhile, Fenerbahce are backed at 2/1 (33.3%) and a draw at 35/13 (27.1%).
We predict Erik Ten Hag to get the better of one of his United predecessors in Jose Mourinho with a narrow 1-0 win for United.
