Ruud Van Nistelrooy will face his first game as Manchester United interim boss in the Premier League against Chelsea this weekend.
The former United player got off to a great start on Wednesday night as his side beat Leicester City 5-2 in the Carabao Cup at Old Trafford to progress to the quarter-finals.
Van Nistelrooy is in charge in the wake of Erik Ten Hag’s sacking which came on Monday. United have already lined up his replacement as Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim will take charge on November 11th.
Until then, Van Nistelrooy will have the task of steadying the ship at Old Trafford which won’t be easy, especially as they face a Chelsea team this weekend who have six points more than United after nine games this season.
The Blues won their last Premier League game against a tough Newcastle United side 2-1 at Stamford Bridge last weekend.
