GK – Andre Onana – Keeping a clean sheet on the opening day can be all that Onana could have asked for.
LB – Noussair Mazraoui – The former Bayern Munich defender made his debut against Fulham in place of the injured Luke Shaw, he is expected to keep his spot.
CB – Matthis De Ligt – Following on from his arrival from Bayern, De Ligt could be in place to make his debut for United against Brighton.
CB – Lisandro Martinez – Despite starting at full-back in pre-season, Martinez played alongside Harry Maguire who went off with a knock during the game.
RB – Diego Dalot – Dalot was as solid as ever against Fulham and will be expected to start again this weekend.
