Jonny Evans and Diogo Dalot impressed in the Manchester United defence
GK – Andre Onana – 8/10 – A clean sheet for Manchester United’s player of the month for September, Onana will be pleased with his game.
LB – Noussair Mazraoui – 7/10 – The former Bayern Munich man had a quiet game against Villa with most of the opposition’s attacks coming down United’s right-hand side.
CB – Harry Maguire – 6/10 – Maguire came in for Matthijs De Ligt and got himself booked in the 37th minute, however he did help keep a clean sheet.
CB – Jonny Evans – 9/10 – It is somewhat remarkable that 35-year-old Evans was United’s best player against Villa on Sunday, he played incredibly well.
RB – Diogo Dalot – 9/10 – The amount of times that the Portuguese full-back stopped a Villa attack was incredible. Dalot also blocked what was an easy chance for Villa to win the game late on.
