Manchester United Vs Aston Villa: Match Preview And Injury News

Manchester United will be looking to get their top four charge back on track as they take on Unai Emery’s Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday, with a kickoff time of 2pm.

United are set to be without Lisandro Martinez, Donny Van De Beek, Phil Jones, Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane and Tom Heaton for their game against the Villans. That’s not all – Alejandro Garnacho and Scott McTominay are both major doubts and will likely not feature at the weekend.

In their last Premier League game, United slumped to a disappointing 2-2 draw against basketcase club Tottenham Hotspur. Despite taking a 2-0 lead thanks to Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford, the Red Devils collapsed in the second half. Pedro Porro and Son Heung-Min both scored for Spurs, as the scores ended at a stalemate.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa were victorious in their previous outing, beating Fulham by a score of 1-0. Tyrone Mings scored the sole goal of the evening as the Cottagers failed to muster a response.

When the two teams last played each other in the league, all the way back in November, the Midlands outfit emerged victorious by a score of 3-1 at Villa Park. Leon Bailey, Lucas Digne and Jacob Ramsey all fired past the Red Devils – their only goal of the afternoon came by the way of an own goal from Ramsey.
