Manchester United vs Arsenal: Predicted XI

Manchester United take on Arsenal at the Emirates in a Super Sunday clash. Both side’s fortunes have differed in recent weeks, with United topping the Barclays Premier League table and also claiming victory over Wolfsburg midweek in the Champions League. Arsenal’s last game was a 3-2 loss to Olympiacos, a result they will definitely want to forget about with a win over United.

United are unbeaten in the last four league meetings at the Emirates (W2, D2), but they have never gone five games unbeaten at Arsenal in the Premier League era. For Arsenal, only one of their league victories this season has come at the Emirates Stadium – also winning just two of their last seven home games in the league.

Manchester United are top of the table for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in May 2013.
They are still struggling for goals, but Martial has managed 4 goals in his last 5. They have also kept clean sheets in four of their seven league games this season.

Arsenal will be without defender Laurent Koscielny and midfielders Mathieu Flamini and Mikel Arteta due to injury. Michael Carrick is fit again for United after sitting out Manchester United’s midweek Champions League win with what was described as a minor injury, but Ander Herrera, also absent on Wednesday, remains a doubt.
