Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will want to see a reaction after the poor display against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup semi-final on Tuesday.

A home match against relegation strugglers Norwich City should be a perfect game to get back on track but Daniel Farke’s side have been playing better than results suggest in recent weeks, so the Red Devils will need to be on their game.

Anthony Martial should have recovered sufficiently from illness to be reinstated to the starting eleven while Solskjaer will also be hoping to have Luke Shaw back available.

Harry Maguire (knock), though, is still out of contention, along with Paul Pogba (ankle), Scott McTominay (knee), Axel Tuanzebe (hamstring), Eric Bailly and Timothy Fosu-Mensah (both knee).

Norwich are sweating over the fitness of top scorer Teemu Pukki with the Finnish international a doubt for the game at the weekend with a hamstring problem. Ralf Fahrmann (thigh) and Dennis Srbeny (thigh) are also doubts, while Ben Godfrey (knee), Josip Drmic (thigh) and Timm Klose (knee) have all been ruled out.
