Manchester United V Newcastle: Match Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

After coming on against Watford in the 2-0 defeat on Sunday, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could give Paul Pogba his first start for three months versus Newcastle on Thursday evening.

The Red Devils now have only three on the treatment table, with Marcos Rojo (muscular), Eric Bailly and Timothy Fosu-Mensah (both knee) the only players still sidelined.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI To Face Newcastle:

De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, Pogba, McTominay, Fred, James, Martial, Rashford

Newcastle have a fair few fitness problems at the moment. Jetro Willems faces a late fitness test due to a knee injury, as will Ki Sung-Yeung (illness) and Paul Dummett (groin).

Ciaran Clark (calf) is a major doubt while Jamaal Lascelles (knee), Allan Saint-Maximin (hamstring) and Matt Ritchie (ankle) have all been ruled out.

Newcastle’s Predicted XI:

Dubravka, Manquillo, Schar, Fernandez, Lejeune, Willems, Almiron, Shelvey, Hayden, Carroll, Joelinton

The bookies have United as the favourites with Sky Bet pricing them at 4/11. A draw is 17/4 with William Hill while a Newcastle victory is 9/1 at BetVictor.
