Manchester United V Manchester City: Match Preview, Team News And Betting Odds

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer knows a defeat against archrivals City this weekend could put his job in jeopardy.

The Red Devils have reacted pretty well after the 5-0 defeat to Liverpool, winning 3-0 against Spurs and drawing 2-2 versus Atalanta.

City suffered a surprise home defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend so there is a lot of uncertainty heading into the derby on Saturday about how these two teams will perform.

Losing Raphael Varane to a hamstring injury, though, will be a big blow for United, whilst there are also doubts over the fitness of Victor Lindelof (knock). Paul Pogba is serving the second game of his three-match ban.

City will also have a player suspended after Aymeric Laporte’s red card against the Eagles last weekend. Manager Pep Guardiola will also be without Ferran Torres (foot) and Liam Delap (ankle).

At the bookmakers, City are the firm favourites with Betway pricing them at 8/11 odds on to win. A draw is 3/1 with Bet 365 while a victory for United is currently 19/5 at Betfred.

Predicted Score – 2-0 to City
