Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be confident of his side’s form heading into Sunday’s clash against Liverpool.

United picked off Chelsea in the 2-0 FA Cup win on Monday, and the Red Devils will be hoping to do exactly the same thing to Jurgen Klopp’s side this weekend at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer will, though, be sweating over the fitness of both Anthony Martial (groin) and Jesse Lingard (hamstring). Reports have surfaced that the pair could be fit for Sunday but the initial diagnosis after the defeat to PSG was two to three weeks.

Captain Antonio Valencia has been recovering from a muscular problem and remains a doubt to face the Reds. As do Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian who are both suffering with knocks.

Liverpool will be without Dejan Lovren with Klopp confirming the defender is unlikely to recover from a hamstring injury in time. The Croatian joins Joe Gomez (fractured leg) and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (knee) on the treatment table.

At the bookmakers, Liverpool have been made slight favourites for the encounter with BetVictor pricing them at 11/8 to win. A draw is 13/5 at 188BET while a United victory is currently 28/13 at Unibet.
