Manchester United V Brighton: Preview And Betting Odds

After a morale-boosting win against Partizan Belgrade last night, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping for two consecutive wins when Manchester United face Brighton on Sunday.

The Seagulls are on a decent run of form, having won their last two games, and Graham Potter’s side actually go into the encounter at Old Trafford two places above the Red Devils in the table.

United’s injury list is pretty lengthy with Scott McTominay having added to Solskjaer’s problems after limping off against Partizan. It remains to be seen if the Scottish international returns to action this weekend.

Paul Pogba (ankle), Eric Bailly (knee), Luke Shaw (hamstring), Axel Tuanzebe (hip), Nemanja Matic (knock), Diogo Dalot (groin) and Angel Gomes have all been ruled out. Victor Lindelof is also a doubt with a back problem.

With Ashley Young suspended after picking up five bookings, it’s likely that Brandon Williams will get another start at Old Trafford.

Brighton have three players unavailable. Adam Webster has an ankle injury, while both Bernardo and Jose Izquierdo are out with knee problems.

The bookmakers have made United favourites with Betfred pricing them at 4/6 to get the win. A draw is 14/5 with BetVictor while a victory for the Seagulls is 23/4 at Unibet.

Predicted Score – United To Win 1-0
