Manchester United V Brighton: Match Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had some time to stew on the club’s defeat to Leicester City in the FA Cup last time out. The Norwegian will be keen to get back on track with a win over Brighton tomorrow night.

The Seagulls were impressive in their 3-0 victory against Newcastle before the international break so this could be a tricky test for the Red Devils.

In terms of team news, United have fitness doubts over Anthony Martial (knee), Marcus Rashford (ankle) and Mason Greenwood (knock) with the latter two more likely to be available after taking part in training on Friday. Juan Mata is absent due to personal reasons, while Phil Jones (knee) is a long term absentee.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI To Play Brighton:

De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Maguire, Shaw, Pogba, Fernandes, McTominay, James, Cavani, Rashford

Brighton boss Graham Potter has five players currently on the treatment table. Aaron Connolly (calf) is a doubt while Adam Webster (ankle), Solly March (knee), Tariq Lamptey (hamstring) and Florin Andone (knee) have been ruled out.

Brighton’s Predicted XI:

Sanchez, Veltman, White, Dunk, Burn, Alzate, Lallana, Gross, Bissouma, Maupay, Trossard

At the bookmakers, United are the favourites with Sky Bet currently pricing them at 4/6 for the win. A draw is 3/1 with Bet 365 while a victory for Brighton is 9/2 at William Hill.

Predicted Score – 1-0 to United
