Manchester United V Brighton Match Preview And Predicted XI Plus Betting Odds

Manchester United are flying under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The excellent 1-0 win over Tottenham at Wembley last week saw the Norwegian pass his first real test as caretaker boss.

The Red Devils face Brighton at Old Trafford on Saturday, with Solskjaer looking to make it seven wins from seven matches in all competitions.

He may have Alexis Sanchez back in contention for the game. The Chilean injured his thigh against Reading in the FA Cup and sat out the victory against Spurs.

He travelled to Dubai for the mid-season training camp and returned to full training yesterday. He could be back on the bench to face the Seagulls.

Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic missed training on Wednesday, reportedly due to personal reasons, but both should be ready to play.

Marcos Rojo (knock) and Chris Smalling (foot) are major doubts for the game and are not expected to feature at the weekend.

Brighton, meanwhile, may be without five players for the match. Left-back Bernardo remains sidelined with a hamstring strain while winger Jose Izquierdo is still recovering from a knee injury.

Midfielder Yves Bissouma is touch and go for the match, and will have a late fitness test. Goalkeeper Mat Ryan and forward Alireza Jahanbakhsh are away at the Asian Cup.

The bookies are backing United to get the three points. They are 2/7 odds-on favourites at Betway with a draw best priced at 5/1 with Betfair. A Brighton win is 12/1 at BetVictor.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI To Face Brighton:

De Gea, Dalot, Lindelof, Jones, Shaw, Herrera, Matic, Pogba, Lingard, Rashford, Martial

Brighton’s Predicted XI:

Button, Montoya, Dunk, Duffy, Bong, Locadia, Stephens, Propper, March, Gross, Andone

Predicted Score – 3-0 to United
