Manchester United V Bournemouth Match Preview And Predicted XI Plus Betting Odds

Manchester United will be confident of making it three wins from three under interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when they face Bournemouth on Sunday.

With the Red Devils having scored eight goals in just two games under the Norwegian, they will be looking to exploit the Cherries’ defensive vulnerabilities.

Eddie Howe’s side conceded five last time out against Tottenham, and have lost seven of their last nine Premier League games, conceding 21 goals in the process.

United could have Alexis Sanchez back for the first time in over a month. The Chilean has recovered quicker than expected from a hamstring injury and could be in line for a place on the bench against Bournemouth.

Anthony Martial has recovered from an illness, and is likely ready to start, while Romelu Lukaku has returned from compassionate leave.

Three players still remain out of contention, though, with Chris Smalling (foot), Marcos Rojo and Scott McTominay (both knocks) all sidelined.

Bournemouth have three players out for the long-term with serious knee injuries. Captain Simon Francis is out for nine months after damaging his anterior cruciate ligament against Spurs. Lewis Cook is out with the same injury.

Adam Smith is also expected to be out until February with a knee cartilage tear. Dan Gosling is still out of action, but his own knee problem is said to be minor.

The bookies have United as firm favourites, and they are 7/19 odds-on at Unibet. A draw is best priced at 9/2 with Betway while a Bournemouth victory is 17/2 at Betfair.

Manchester United’s Predicted XI To Face Bournemouth:

De Gea, Dalot, Lindelof, Jones, Shaw, Pogba, Matic, Herrera, Lingard, Lukaku, Martial

Bournemouth’s XI:

Begovic, Rico, Cook, Ake, Daniels, Fraser, Lerma, Surman, Brooks, King, Wilson

Predicted Score – 4-1 to United
